Description
* We have received reports that combined chemical and oil tanker MALY (IMO: 9301691) experienced a fire whilst moored off Yeosu, South Korea on 16 August 2025.
* It is reported that the fire was later extinguished with assistance from numerous vessels deployed by the local Coast Guard.
* We understand that the fire spread to a nearby small cargo vessel, and sadly, the Master of that vessel lost their life as a result of the fire.
* It is possible that GA/Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
