Description
* We have received reports that the bulk carrier TUTOR (IMO: 9942627) was attacked twice, allegedly by Houthi rebels, in a position approximately 66 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen, on 12 June, 2024.
* It is reported that the vessel was first struck at the stern by an unmanned surface vessel as a result of which the vessel sustained a breach of its hull and an ingress of water to the engine room.
* The Master reported that the vessel was also later attacked by a missile.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.
